Prof. (Dr.) Akil ali Saiyed is a Professor of Law and is serving as a founding Vice-Chancellor of GM Vastanvi University, Akkalkuwa, (Dist. Nandurbar – Maharashtra). He has also served Gokul Global University, Siddhpur as Pro-Vice Chancellor and Parul University, Vadodara as a Dean of Law Faculty. He has 30 years of blended experience in teaching, research, professional practice and administration. He has practiced before the High Court of Gujarat for a decade and is founder of the law firm GUJ•JURIX. He is Promoter & Executive Director of Praestantia Education Private Limited Company. He has completed his Post Doctoral studies from Mediterranea University, Reggio Calabria (Italy). He is the first awardee of the degree in Ph.D. from Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar. He holds Masters degrees in Physics and Law. His diverse profile includes experience of teaching under science, management, arts and medicine faculties at different universities. Dr. Saiyed has seven research projects to his credit. His research interests include Public Private Partnership, Education Law and Forensic Science. His publications include 13 books and 30 research papers/articles in national and international reputed journals. He has made more than 75 presentations in national and international seminars and conferences. Apart from several other achievements, he has received prestigious Dewang Mehta National Education Award for Best Professor of Law in 2017 and Best Director in 2020 by Global Research Foundation, New Delhi. Dr. Saiyed is also associated with several social organizations including cooperative society, philanthropic/charitable trusts, professional bodies at state and national level.
