Dr. (Ms) Bimal Malhotra who has a distinguished academic career was awarded the National Merit scholarship for pursuing her post-graduation in History and topped the list of M.A., Students in History in the University of Mumbai in 1973. She obtained her Ph.D. Degree in History from the same University in 1995. She is at present Reader and Head, Department of History, Wilson College, Mumbai, and has taught history for over twenty-five years.
