Dr. Chitrakara Hegde teaches Chemistry and pursues academic research in areas such as membrane technology, composite polymers and anti-corrosion technique. He has total 24 years of teaching experience in Postgraduation and Undergraduate Engineering. Widely published in scholarly journals of international repute, Dr. Hegde acquired Ph.D. from National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal. He is an alumnus of Mangalore University and holds a Postgraduate degree in Chemistry and Mathematics. He worked in many funded research projects. Presently, Dr. Hegde teaches Engineering Chemistry, Environmental Studies and Forensic Science. He acknowledges support and help from his mother Suguna P. Hegde, wife Surekha Shetty and son Prasidh Hegde.
