Dr. Devesh Vijay is Associate Professor in the Department of History at Zakir Husain Delhi College, University of Delhi. Pursuing multi-disciplinary interests in social sciences, Dr. Vijay has written on cultural history, ideology, political perceptions and underdevelopment in monographs, edited works and journals in both English and Hindi. His writings include: Writing Politics: Left Discourses in Contemporary India; (a comparison of European, Chinese and Indian cultural traditions) and Dr. Vijay has been a recipient of research fellowships from the Indian Council of Social Science Research, the Institute of Economic Growth and the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library.
