Dr. A. Vasudevan presently at the Reserve Bank of India as Executive Director, in-charge of economic research, was educated at Andhra and Banaras Hindu Universities. He did his Master in Economics in 1959 and was awarded Ph.D. degree in 1964. He worked in the Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi (1964-65) and was associated with the Department of Economics, University of Bomaby (1965-69) where he took post-graduate classes on the theory of money and theory of development. He has a number of publications to his credit - two books, one report and a large number of articles in both national and international journals. His main areas of interest are monetary theory and policy and economics of development.
