Dr. Arshed Iqbal Dar, is presently Zoology Lecturer at Government Degree College, Sumbal, Sonawari, J & K, India. He is Ph.D in Zoology (Pharmacology & Drug Designing); MISCA (Kolkata); FSCIE (Australia). Dr. Arshed Iqbal has bagged the Young Scientist Award and Best Award in Medical Sciences (9th JK Science Congress & Regional Science Congress) from Indian Science Congress Association, Kolkata & University of Kashmir. He has discovered a novel compound, viz., flavone glycoside: 5,4-dihydroxy-3-(3-methyl-but-2-enyl) 3,5,6-trimethoxy-flavone-7-O-b--glucopyranoside from Feronia limonia L., which showed strong hepatoprotective activity. He has published many research papers in great scientific repute national-cum-international journals with good impact. His work is cited in many international journals, viz., Springer, Elsevier, Science direct, Pub Med, etc. Dr. Arshed also got the fellowship for the training of young scientists from MPCST. He has also recieved the invitations across the globe to present his findings. His health articles appear in international, national and local newspapers. He is the life member of ISCA, Kolkata with life membership number L26739.
