Dr. Hiteshkumar Thakkar is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar (India) since 2010 (more than 11 years of experience). His areas of research interest are Macroeconomics Theories and Practices, Money Banking and Public Finance, and Law and Economics. He has edited books, namely, Law and Economics in India: Understanding and Practice (Taylor & Francis, 2017), Economic Analysis of Law: An Indian Perspective (LexisNexis, 2014), and Maritime Security and Piracy: Global Issues, Challenges and Solutions (Eastern Book Company, 2012). He has reviewed the book of Taylor & Francis and Sage Publications in the domain of Law and Economics. He has published thirteen research papers, which are Scopus, WoS, ABDC and/or UGC indexed journals, and has contributed several chapters in the edited books. He has presented around twenty-two research papers in the renowned conference organized by IIMA, IIMB, IITK, Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Flame University, NLIU Bhopal, Multimedia University, Malaysia, etc. He got German Academic Exchange Services (DAAD) Scholarship for the study and research exchange, University of Cologne, Germany from 31 March, 2014 to 28 June, 2014. He is actively associated with research, training and extension activities in the Centre for Law and Economics at Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar (India).
