Dr. Mabel Basil Pimenta, M.A., M.Ed., Ph.D. (Edu), SLET, has about 24 years of teaching experience as a teacher educator. Presently, she is an Associate Professor at Pushpanjali College of Education, Vasai, Maharashtra. She has been associated with Curriculum preparation for e-B.Ed. programme launched by Yeshwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University. She is a recognized teacher on Edmodo educational social networking site. In the year 2012-13, she has completed a minor research project funded by the University of Mumbai. She also has conducted two minor research projects which were self-financed. In the revised two years B.Ed. Program, she was a member of a core team of syllabus committee for two courses, Course 1 Childhood and Growing Up and Inclusive Education. Since August 2015, the author has been recognized as the teacher of the University of Mumbai of Ph.D. degree in education. She has conducted workshops on life skills, emotional intelligence, child development, inclusive education, etc. for parents, teachers and students. She has published many research based papers and articles in national and international magazines.
