Dr. Mohan Shrikrishna Kashikar (b.1962) is Reader in the Post-graduate Department of Political Science, Nagpur University (India). He graduated from University of Mumbai and did his post-graduation in Political Science from Nagpur University, securing first position in merit list and a gold medal. He was awarded Ph.D. by Nagpur University for his thesis on SAARC. Dr. Kashikar has published research-papers in journals and has written a book in Marathi on ‘Concepts of State in Some Political Ideologies’ for Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, Nashik (India). He also contributed a regular weekly column on current international events in a reputed Marathi newspaper. Dr. Kashikar was awarded prestigious Paul Harris fellowship by the Rotary Foundation, under which he worked as a Visiting Fellow in George Mason University, Fairax (Virginia-USA) in 1997-98.
