Dr. Ravinder Singh completed his Ph.D. from Kumaun University, Nainital with specialization in landslide disaster risk reduction and management. He possesses expertise in the field of risk assessment, damage estimation, disaster preparedness, response, mitigation, capacity building, community based DRR and geomorphology with application of remote sensing and GIS. He has worked as Capacity Development Expert in the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) under UNDP-DRR programme and as Programme Manager in National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM). Presently, he is working as Consultant (Landslide and Avalanche) at the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Government of India, New Delhi.
