Dr. Sharmila Ghuge (BA, LLM, NET and Ph.D. In Law) is working as an Associate Professor, at SVKM’s Jitendra Chauhan College of Law, Vile Parle (W), Mumbai. She has been a meritorious student of law and stood first at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, Maharashtra. She qualified UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) in her first attempt. Dr. Ghuge has been awarded Ph.D. at the hands of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam on the topic of Euthanasia. She is a Ph.D. guide and an external expert for a few Universities in India. She has been awarded the Global Women Inspiration Award, Best Teacher Award and the Research Excellence Award.
Dr. Ghuge is extensively involved in social work and has filed Public Interest Litigations in the Supreme Court and Bombay High Court. She conducts self-funded camps at rural places to educate women and children. She has addressed more than 100 sessions as a resource person at National and International conferences, seminars, workshops, webinars, UGC refresher courses, Faculty induction programme, Orientation, etc. She has five self-authored books to her credit, a few edited books and 40 research publications. Dr. Ghuge is appreciated by the student fraternity for her devotion, commitment and enthusiasm towards teaching since the last 20 years. She believes life is beautiful and live it with a positive and peaceful approach. “Dedication Decides Destiny” is her Mantra; she believes and guides students with the same mantra to get success in life.
