Dr. Srivastav gradated in Chemical Engineering From B.I.T. Sindri, Bihar (1965). He completed his postgraduation and Ph.D. from IIT Bombay in 1967 and (1971) respectively. He started his academic career from I.I.T. Bombay as S.R.A. And A.L. He has credit to work with B.I.T.S. Pilani (Rajasthan), D.D.I.T. Nadiad (Gujarat); PREC, Loni (Maharashtra); TEC (Osmanabad), PIIT (Navi Mumbai), Programme LKCT (Indore), AIT (Ujjain, M.P.). He visited MIT (U.S.A.) on Faculty Exchange Programme for a period of one year and served as a professor at Bahir Dar Institute of Technology (Ethiopia), Africa, for a period of three years. He was debuted to Grasim (M.P.) to solve their waste problems. He developed five new technological to solve their solid, liquid and gaseous waste problems. On the basis of these technologies, they ventured successfully in developing three new industries.

Dr. Srivastav is a life member of A.I.Ch.E., I.I.Ch.E, ISTE and I.E. (England). He worked as V. C. Nominee of Shivaji, Aurangabad Universities. For many years, he guided 2 Ph.D. half dozen of M. Tech/M.E. and nearly 2500 U.G. Students. His 10 books are in market helping students, faculty members and researchers to enhance their knowledge. He is author of 75 papers published in International and National journals of repute.
