Gopinath Ganapathy is the Registrar of Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India. He has 30 years of experience in academia, industry, research, and consultancy services. He has around 8 years of international experience in the US and UK. He served as a consultant for a few Fortune 500 companies that include IBM, Lucent-Bell Labs, Merrill Lynch, Toyota, etc. He specializes in the design of Multi-tier and Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) technologies. He received the Young Scientist Fellow Award for the year 1994 from the Government of Tamil Nadu. His areas of research are semantic web, AI, auto-programming, ontology, and text mining. He has published and presented almost 100 research papers in international journals and at conferences. He has acted as an academic advisor for mediating off-campus programs at the University of Valley Creek, USA. He is a member of several academic and technology councils in various universities in India. He has convened many international conferences / workshops / seminars. He is a referee and editorial member for a few international journals. He has guided 16 Ph.D. scholars. He is a Professional Member of the IEEE, ACM and IAENG.
