Dr. Khushal M. Kapadiya has received his Ph.D. from Saurashtra University, Rajkot, India, in the year 2016. Currently, he is working as Associate Professor in RK University, Rajkot, India. He is serving as a Reviewer of several reputed journals like Letter in Drug Design and Discovery (Bentham Science), Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry (Wiley), etc. He has authored 50+ research articles and 06 books in National and International publication house. He is a Joint Secretary in Indian Society of Chemistry and Biologists, RK University Chapter (Gujarat Region). He has honored with award for Basic Scientific Research Fellowship during his doctorate. Under his guidance, 02 students completed doctorate and 05 are currently pursuing their Ph.D. He has filed a patent based on versatile group of heterocyclic chemistry, i.e., benzothiazole and its anti-cancer activity. Dr. Kapadiya has trained well in organic synthesis, separation, purification and characterization of organic molecules using TLC and column chromatography and various spectroscopic techniques like FT-IR, MS, NMR, and 2D spectroscopic techniques. He has worked in various catalyst-based reactions and also worked in nucleosides chemistry using various organic reactions and mechanisms. He has the expertise to generate a scaffold that exhibits potency in NCI-60 cell lines in single and five dose-response. His Ph.D. thesis was mainly based on nitrogen-rich scaffolds and have good experience to generate hybrids scaffolds through the addition of linkers for lead identification in medicinal chemistry. And simultaneously working on 02 major research projects for identifying novel anti-cancer agents in medicinal drug synthesis area.
