Nirmal Kumar has served SAIL Bhilai Steel Plant and Bokaro Stee Plant and also Centre for Engineering and Technology, Ranchi in various capacities including Chief Personnel Manager, Sr. Dy. Director (Pers. anc Admn.). Subsequently, he joined Hindustan Copper Ltd., as Dy.G.M. (Pers. anc Admn). He received his B.Sc. (Engg.) from RIT, Jamshedpur and graduateship in Industrial Engineering from NITIE, Mumbai, PGDPM from NIPM, Kolkata LL.B. from Ranchi University. He has been a visiting faculty in SAIL College of Management, Ranchi and later served the Government of India as Director (Admn.). He has wide experience comprising two stems - i.e., management of people at work and secondly, the application of HRM techniques thereby managing IR situations spanning over thirty-eight years. Presently, he is practicing advocate at Patna High Court. His broad areas of interest include HR Planning, Incentives, Organisational Restructuring, Employee Training, Grievance Handling, and Collective Bargaining.
