Oindrila Majumdar is a student at Dubai International Academy (DIA) in grade 8 under IB curriculum. She has a deep interest in further learning Astrophysics and understanding the depths of our universe. She had the privilege to meet Her Excellency Sarah Al Amiri the Minister of State Advanced Technology at the time* as she had written an open letter on Khaleej Times regarding her latest mission on the UAE Hope Probe. They discussed many topics regarding astronomy and the mechanism of the UAE Hope Probe. After that discussion She was inspired to write a book on astrophysics for kids. Later on she went on to write an article on Dark matter for the Khaleej Times.
In the year 2023 Oindrila got an invitation from NORDITA (Nordic Institute for Theoretical Physics), Stockholm, Sweden for a summer internship to work-on a project based on Exosome. Oindrila’s YouTube channel, astrO (@astrOindrila), explores both theoretical and observational astronomy topics, including telescopes, galaxy collisions, dark matter, and black holes. The channel offers captivating insights into the intricate details and broader aspects of astrophysics and cosmology.
* in the previous year 2023, Oindrila received an invitation from Her Excellency Sarah Al Amiri, who was the UAE Minister of State for Advanced Technology and Chairwoman of the UAE Space Agency at the time.
