Rajesh Pal is a distinguished Professor of Economics at Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith, Varanasi, U.P., India. He received B.Com and M.A. in Economics from Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce, Pune University and S.P. College, Pune University respectively. At present, he is Head of the Department of Economics, M.G. Kashi Vidyapith, Varanasi. Professor Pal is the author of five books, viz., Indian Banking and Globalization, which is h-index; Economic and Financial Sector Reforms in India: Issues and Concepts of Economics, besides two e-books. His work has been published in scholarly journals, such as Global Business and Economics Anthology (GBEA), United States of America, U.S.A.; Indian Journal of Regional Science; International Journal of Research in Commerce, Economics and Management; Southern Economist; Kisan World, and in government journals of India, such as Social Welfare, Ministry of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, New Delhi, and presented papers at numerous national and international conferences. His work has also been published in more popular forums, such as The Times of India. He has also reviewed many research papers for Horizon Research Public Corporation, U.S.A. He was honoured with the "Best Paper Young Scientist Award" in 2012 for his research paper "Financial Inclusion: The Road Map to Balanced Regional Development" by Regional Science Association, Calcutta, India. On the occasion of Teachers Day, 05th September 2021, the author was honoured by the Government of Uttar Pradesh and Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith, Varanasi for his remarkable contribution in higher education especially in the implementation of National Education Policy 2020. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of Arthiki, which is published by the Department of Economics, Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith, Varanasi.
