S. Narasimha Rao

Sri. S. Narasimha Rao is graduated from College of Engineering, Osmania University in 1983 and did his Masters in University of Roorkee. - Worked in Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad and International Airports Authority of India at New Delhi before joining Irrigation and CAD Department in 1986 at Hyderabad. - Developed software programme in Pascal language for the design of irrigation structures namely Standing Wave Flume (measuring structure) and retaining walls. - Involved in the preparation of spillway gates operation schedule for Lower Manair Dam and also in stimulation studies (multi reservoir model) for Sriramsagar Project on Godavari River. - Associated with sediment yield estimation in major projects using Remote Sensing techniques and also in the preparation of EIA & EMP project reports of major irrigation projects for getting Environmental Clearance from Government of India. - Engaged in MIS & GIS packages for Operation & Maintenance of Irrigation projects. - Associated mainly with the execution of many tunnelling, surge pool and pump house works of prestigious Kaleswaram Project, Mid Manair Project and also works at the gigantic Nagarjunasagar spillway and AMRP main tunnel. - Presented number of papers at National level workshops and seminars on various aspects of Irrigation management. - Undergone "Training of Trainers" in 1992 under USAID programme including study tour on Irrigation practices prevailing in various irrigation systems in USA, Mexico and Spain. - Association with Late. Sri. G. Veera Reddy, Former Legal Counsel in the proceedings before Krishna Water Disputes Tribunal inspired to study the issues in depth in comparison with similar issues in various other river basins existing in the world. - The present work "Inter-State River Water Disputes (International Outlook)" will definitely provide inspiration to the young engineers working in Irrigation & CAD Department and young advocates in understanding various aspects of Inter State River water disputes adjudication process.
