Dr. Sameer S. Bhagyawant, is recipient of gold medal in M.Sc. Biotechnology from Dr. B.A. Marathwada University, Aurangabad (Maharashtra). He did his Ph.D. at National Chemical Laboratory, Pune (registered at SRTM University, Nanded). Presently, he is working as Senior Lecturer of Biotechnology at Jiwaji University, Gwalior (M.P.) and put in more than 16 years of service in teaching and research. Dr. Sameer is instrumental in various academic activities like modernization of curricula and organizing academic meetings such as workshops and symposiums. His research interest range from genomics to proteomics, for which he received financial assistance from various funding agencies like MPCOST, DRDE and UGC - New Delhi. He has supervised more than 30 Masters degree students, 3 M.Phil. scholars and 10 Ph.D. scholars. He has published more than 70 research papers in reputed national and international journals. He has authored various books with national and international books publishers.
