Library is a source of knowledge. It plays a vital role in building intellectual and analytical thought in the individuals. It is a continuous process of knowledge acquisition and dissemination. Education and library are two indivisible concepts both being fundamentally and synchronically related to and co-existent with each other. Library as specialized system came into existence because of Dr. S.R. Ranganathan contribution to this system. His efforts in creating systematic procedures and principles laid a strong foundation of the growth and development of Library. In the current scenario, dynamism is the order of the day.
