This book on Corporate Accounting–II is prepared in accordance with the syllabus prescribed for the IV Semester B.Com Degree Programme of Mangalore University under State Education Policy (SEP). Corporate Accounting is an important area of accounting that deals with accounting procedures and practices of companies. This course enables students to understand various accounting aspects relating to company accounts such as redemption of preference shares, valuation of goodwill and shares, amalgamation and reconstruction of companies, and liquidation of companies. The subject combines both theoretical concepts and practical accounting problems to develop analytical and problem-solving skills among students.
The syllabus is structured in a systematic manner so that students can clearly understand the accounting procedures, journal entries, ledger accounts, and preparation of financial statements relating to corporate transactions. It’s collected from different sources. Special emphasis is given to problem-solving and practical applications in accordance with university examination requirements.
