Anagha Kamble is Assistant Professor at the Department of History, R. J. College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Mumbai. She is an alumnus of St. Xavier`s College, Mumbai and has completed her Ph.D from the University of Mumbai. She is the recipient of the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship and the Indian Council of Historical Research Travel Award. Her areas of interest are Diaspora Studies and Dalit Studies. Her ongoing work is a UGC Research Project on History of Migration to Southern Assam: A Socio-Cultural Study 1947-1971.
