Dr. G. Faruk Surya has Ph.D., in Business Administration from the faculty of Board of Studies in Business Administration, Nagpur University and is currently working as sectional engineer in Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd., Nagpur, for last 27 years. Besides M.B.A. with specialization in Finance and Marketing, from Nagpur University, he also has yet another M.B.A. with specialization in Human Resource (HR), from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi. He is also a merit rank holder of LL.B degree, from Nagpur University. He has brilliant and distinguished academic record with M.A. in Economics, Sociology, and Public Administration and over and above a number of post graduate specialization diplomas in various disciplines and subjects of academic and professional interest.    Dr. G. Faruk Surya has also been associated with teaching for more than 15 years, as departmental faculty at erstwhile Maharashtra State Electricity Board’s Koradi Training Centre, an ISO 9001-2000 certified training centre, teaching subjects related with HR (Human Resource) issues. He also has been the honorary guest faculty for M.B.A. discipline, as academic councillor at Indira Gandhi National Open University’s, Nagpur Centre, for more than 10 years, and is held in very high esteem by the students.    Dr. G. Faruk Surya has 10 nos. of Research Papers and 3 nos. of articles to his credit, published through various mediums of high repute. His research papers and the articles are devoted to the functioning of the erstwhile Maharashtra State Electricity Board, highlighting its strengths as well as the so called deficiencies associated with mainly the HR performance. He is currently pursuing his D.Litt. in “Productivity dilemmas of service sector organization with specific reference to power supply utilities” and is likely to come up with yet another exciting contribution in the field of HR productivity.
