Dr. K. Nageswara Rao
Dr. K. Nageswara Rao is a Professor in the Department of Economics, Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. He obtained his Master Degree in Economics from Sri Venkateswara University and Ph.D. degree under the supervision of Prof. S. Subbaramaiah from Sri Krishnadevaraya University. He started his professional carrier as a lecturer in Sri Venkateswara University Post-Graduate Centre, Kavali and joined the Department of Economics in Sri Krishnadevaraya University in 1979. He has been engaged in teaching Public Enterprise Mathematical Economics and Economic Statistics to Post-Graduate students. He is engaged in active research in the areas of public utilities and public enterprises. He has a decade`s experience of teaching Research Methodology to research scholars in social sciences. He has been associated with the research wing of Sri Krishnadevaraya University and completed the research project on Drought Prone Area Programme in Anantapur district sponsored by the Government of Andhra Pradesh in 1987. He completed the UGC sponsored research project on "Problems and prospects of village water supply" in Kurnool District in 1989. Dr. K. Nageswara Rao has been supervising the research works of M.Phil and Ph.D. scholars in the areas of public enterprises, public economics, urban economics etc. He has to his credit a number of research publications and actively participated in many National and State level Seminars and Conferences. He organised two National seminars and the Local Secretary, he organised the 74th Annual Conference of Indian Economic Association in December, 1991. Currently he is engaged in ICSSR sponsored research project on Drinking water supply position in rural areas of Anantapur District.
