Dr. (Mrs.) Leena Deshpande born on 28.2.1963 ([email protected]) is an Analytical Chemist with Ph.D. in Chemistry from Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj, Nagpur University. Presently working as a Technical Officer in National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI), Nagpur. Her area of specialization is water quality assessment with special reference to Arsenic in drinking water and its mitigation. She has developed Arsenic Field Testing Kit for on-spot screening of water supply sources for contamination due to Arsenic. She has published more than 30 papers in different national and International journals of repute. Presently she is actively engaged in development of Digital Kit for Field Measurement of Arsenic.
