Dr. P. Balamurugan, Ph.D. is a Research Associate at Lal Bahadur Shastri Research Center for Public Policy and Social Change. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from Bharathidasan University. Tiruchirappali. During his Ph.D. he received many scholarships which include Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Scholarship for Doctoral Studies in India. He did his Post Doctoral Research at the Department of Economic. University of Allahabad under the UNCTAD India Programme. He was also awarded Sir Ratan Tata Trust Visiting Fellowship (SRTT Fellowship, 2009) at Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC) Bangalore.
