Dr. Prerna Mitra is an Assistant Professor of Botany at Government P.G. College, Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh. She joined the Higher Education Department of Madhya Pradesh in 2005. Dr. Mitra earned her Ph.D. from Barkatullah University, Bhopal, in 2015. Since then, she has made a name for herself in the academic community, publishing over 19 research papers in respected National and International journals.
Her research in Phycology has led to publishing of her maiden book titled “Diversity of Algae of River Shivna, Mandsaur”. In addition to her research, Dr. Mitra is a fellow member of four prominent academic societies, both in India and abroad, underscoring her commitment to her field and her impact on environmental education and awareness. She incorporated her subject expertise in the preparation and submission of Mandsaur Janpad Panchayat, Malhargarh Janpad Panchayat and 20 individual Gram Panchayts of Mandsaur District’s People’s Biodiversity Register.
