Dr. Roopa Karki completed her bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manipal, Karnataka. M.Pharm. (Pharmaceutics) degree was completed from Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manipal, Karnataka. She received her Ph.D. from Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal, Karnataka. She completed Postdoctoral fellowship from Clemson Universty SC, USA. She has 30 years of teaching and academic research experience. She is currently, Professor and Principal at Vivekananda College of Pharmacy in Bengaluru. She has published 60 research/review articles and holds one patent. Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru has recognised her as a PG and Ph.D. Guide. She supervised 43 PG students and 8 Ph.D. students. She has contributed 2 Pharmaceutics text books. She has ACITE, DBT, RGUHS, VGST and Industry Research funded projects. She has received awards, Distinguished alumni award from MCOPS, Manipal and Innovative researcher award from Society of Pharmaceutical Education & Research.
