Dr. Vaishali Patil is a Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Applications at Bharati Vidyapeeth`s Institute of Management and Information Technology, Navi Mumbai. She obtained her Bachelor`s degree and Master`s degree from Shivaji University. She did her M.Phil. from Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune. She was awarded the Ph.D. degree from Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune in July 2011 on the topic - "Risk Management in Software Projects - An Analytical Study". She received grant from the University of Mumbai for the research project "Risk Management Models in Software Projects". She received a special appreciation from AIMS - All India Institute of Management Studies for "Innovation in Teaching". She has 11 years of work experience. She has published many research papers in different conferences and journals. She is the member of Board of Studies MCA in University of Mumbai, Member of International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology and Member of Editorial Board of BVIMSR`s Journal of Management Research. She has worked as a Chairman of Board of Studies in the University of Mumbai. She is an Ex-member of Academic Council, University of Mumbai. She has conducted and attended many workshops and seminars. She has guided around 110 students for their postgraduate projects.
