Gautam Majumdar started his banking career with UCO Bank as a probationary officer selected through a national recruitment process. The rich and varied exposure in all aspects of banking that he gained from this organization prompted him to join Kinetic Capital Finance Ltd. As the president of the company, he enriched his special interest in credit with a thorough knowledge of leasing and hire purchase finance. His area of expertise is the credit portfolio with focus on large advances, recovery procedures and rehabilitation of weak units. As director of FSRG Consultants, he carried forward this interest in research in banking services leading to designing of banking products, consultancy re­ports and identification of investment opportunities. The author is a postgraduate in science from Delhi University, sup­ported by diploma in management with additional qualification in international marketing management. He had the privilege of receiving his education from prestigious educational institutions of Delhi all along. Has been a guest faculty with National Institute of Banking Studies and Corporate Management (NIBSCOM) and contributes regularly to career journals. His interest in academics has enabled him to publish books on banking and finance for the competitive examinations leading to recruitments in banks. He has special distinction in publishing a quarterly journal on bank marketing and originating a web portal on financial literacy. He has also been with the Ph.D. Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) as their banking and financial services committee member.
