Laishram Ladusingh

Laishram Ladusingh, Ph.D. (Population Studies), M.Sc. (Statistics) is Advisor, Research and Development, The Assam Royal Global University, Guwahati. He has been the Vice-Chancellor, Bodoland University, Kokrajhar and the Officiating Director, International Institute for Population Sciences, Mumbai; Associate Professor, Manipur University, Canchipur and Assistant Director, Directorate of Economics & Statistics, Government of Manipur, Imphal. With teaching, research and field experience spanning over four decades, Prof. Ladusingh has published over 90 research papers in public health, statistics, demography and economics in peer-reviewed International journals from Springer, Taylor & Francis, Sage, Oxford University Press, Bristol University Press, PlosOne, UN Bangkok, to list a few. He has also written an ADB commissioned paper on Demographic Dividend for India. He is recipient of grants from UNFPA, IDRC, BMGF, Hewlett Packard and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW), GoI for international workshops, seminars and conferences participation. Prof. Ladusingh has collaborated in academic projects with East West Centre, Honolulu; Nihon University Population Research Centre, Tokyo; University of Berkely, San Diego and University of Cape Town, South Africa. He was UNICEF Consultant to Myanmar and National Transfer Accounts (NTA) consultant to UNFPA India. He is also member of various bodies of Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Registrar General of India and Niti Aayog and is member of academic bodies of academic institutions and universities in India.
