Biography

Namita Joshi

Dr. Namita Joshi is teaching environmental science to postgraduate students at Kanya Gurukula Mahavidyalaya, Gurukula Kangri University, Hardwar since 1995. She has published more than thirty-five research papers in various international and national journals and attended over a dozen of conferences / seminars / symposia at national and international level besides co-authoring a book. She has guided more than 95 dissertations on environmental sciences and 3 students have been awarded their Ph.D. degree under her supervision. She was invited by the University of Wyoming, USA to work on the toxic effects of neem extracts on histo-pathology of some organs of grasshoppers where she worked three during June-July 1999. She was also awarded Zoological Society of Indias gold medal in 2001. Her work on toxicology is widely being cited by many scholars in their research papers.
