Prof. Prabha Panth, has recently retired as Professor of Economics, Osmania University. She has done her M.A. (Economics), and M.Phil., and Ph.D. in Environmental Economics from Osmania. She retired after completing 30 years of teaching and research. Her areas of specialisation are Environmental Economics, and Economics of Development. She is a recipient of Mackenzie prize, and the Nizam Gold Medal in M.Phil. She has published many papers on Economics and Environmental Economics in various journals.
