Prof. R. Hiremani Naik is the Chairman of Institute of Management Studies, Kuvempu University, Shivamogga, Karnataka. He did his postgraduate degree in Commerce from Kuvempu University in 1992. Then he did his Doctoral work in Kuvempu University on working of District Industries Centre of Davangere and Chitradurga Districts. He started his teaching career as a lecturer with at college affiliated to Kuvempu University. He joined the Department of Commerce in Kuvempu University in 1996 and served for seven years, and then he joined Kuvempu University as a Reader for six years. Since 2008 he is working as a Professor and Chairman of Institute of Management Studies, Kuvempu University, Jnanashaydri, Shankaraghatta. He has written books on contemporary concepts of Outsourcing, Small Scale Industries, Industrial Relations and Labour Legislations in India and on he core concepts of Counselling and interpersonal skills for managers. He has also published twenty research papers in various journals of repute and presented more than thirty papers in national seminars and international conferences, he has visited Singapore and Malaysia. He successfully guided six candidates for their Ph.D. and presently six candidates are pursuing their doctoral work.
