Dr. Rabindra Kumar Mishra, is presently working as Lecturer in the Department of Wildlife and Biodiversity Conservation, North Orissa University. Takatpur, Baripada. He received his under graduate, post-graduate and Ph.D. Degree from Utkal University, Vani Vihar, Bhubaneswar. He has teaching and research experience in the field of Ecology especially in Forest Ecology. He has published over 40 research papers in the journals of International and National repute having impact factors. Orissa Bigyan Academy Young Scientist Award was awarded to him in 2007 for his research contribution in Life Science particularly in phytosociology. He was also one of the recipients of Young Scientist Fellow of Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, New Delhi from 2005 to 2008. He is also a member of several scientific societies. He was selected as one of the Functional Area Expert (FAE) in the field of Ecology and Biodiversity, and Soil Conservation by Quality Council of India (QCI).
