Born in 1933, S.G. Bhanushali took his M.A. in Economics from Bombay School of Economics, University of Bombay.       He has a Ph.D. in Industrial Economics. After a short spell at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Bombay he joined College of Commerce, Kolhapur in 1961. He was head of the postgraduate department of business economics. He had been teaching M.Com, M.B.A. and M. Phil. courses. He has taught Research Methodology, Business Economics, Financial Management and Marketing Management. He has been the research guide to P.G. students for project reports in the areas of Marketing Mangement, Financial Management and Human Resource Development. He has successfully completed PGDMF (Faculty Development) from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He was Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and was a member of the Executive council of Shivaji University, Kolhapur.    `Entrepreneurship Development` a book based on this Ph. D. dissertation, published by Himalaya Publishing House has been received well by academics, students and teachers. He has written twenty seven books on Economics and Banking that have been prescribed by various universities in Maharashtra. "Entrepreneurship Development` has been prescribed for M.A. in Sociology in Shivaji University.    He has presented papers at a number of seminars and national conferences. He is a life member of Marathi Arthashastra Parishad. He was Associate Editor of `Arthasamwad` - its research journal, for a period of nine years. He has been Research Guide to M. Phil students and Ph. D. students. He has written research papers in the areas of Foreign Trade, Public Finance, Market Theory and Theory of Planning. He was a regular contributor to Marathi newspapers. He has worked on selection committees of various universities and has worked as referee for evaluation M. Phil and Ph. D. dissertations. He was invited as resource person to conduct refresher of various universities.
