Prof. (Dr.) Satish Kumar Sharma is a distinguished academician, visionary leader, a seasoned administrator with a compassionate approach and a highly accomplished researcher. Prof. Sharma is currently serving as the Vice Chancellor, Surajmal University, Uttarakhand. He is an alumnus of University of Delhi and former Vice Chancellor, Glocal University. Over his illustrious career spanning more than 35 years, Prof. Sharma has held several key positions, including: Pro Vice Chancellor and Chairman, IDP at Glocal University; Dean of the School of Pharmacy at Glocal University; Professor and Director at Sunder Deep Group of Institutions, Ghaziabad (the largest technical campus in NCR) and visiting faculty at DIPSAR (University of Delhi). Prof. Sharma is the Senior Mentor, Pharma Lok Team; National President, Pharmaceutical Educational Society (PESOTS) and Executive Council Member, APTI (UP State branch). He completed his B. Pharm from DIPSAR (University of Delhi) with distinction and earned an M. Pharm (Pharmacology) from DIPSAR (University of Delhi) with a Gold Medal. He subsequently obtained his Ph.D. from MJRP University, Rajasthan. Prof. Sharma has played an instrumental role in organising and co-chairing major pharmaceutical events, including the 60th, 65th and 70th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress (Co-chairman, Medical Services) and Organising Chairman, India Pharma Convention at DIPSAR (University of Delhi), He has collaborated on research projects with prestigious institutions such as the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi; Artemis Heart Institute, Gurugram; Biotech Park, Lucknow; Institute of Toxicology, Ghaziabad and the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), New Delhi. He has authored more than 150 research papers and articles published in SCI, SCOPUS, WOS and UGC Care indexed journals and proceedings of conferences; and 18 patents. Additionally, he has written 4 books and contributed to 14 book chapters. He has supervised numerous M.Pharm. and Ph.D. scholars. Prof. Sharma has delivered over 200 invited talks, faculty development programs (FDP), and professional development programs (PDP). Throughout his distinguished career, Prof. Satish Sharma has been honoured with numerous National and International accolades for his outstanding contributions to higher education, research, and societal development. Recently he has been conferred with the most prestigious Prof. ML Schroff Memorial Pharma Ratna Award.
