Years of teaching the subjects to MBA students of WB Technical University, Punjab Technical University, Jadavpur University and St. Peter University of Chennai and Vidyasagar University have prompted me to author the book “Applied Operation Research and Quantitative Methods” a Text book for decision making and resource management.
The first and second semesters MBA curriculum of WBUT includes Quantitative Methods-I and II respectively and the third semester covers operations research paper.
The 6th semester of B.Tech under WBUT has `Operation Research` as one of the subjects.
The book contains first 5 chapters for Applied Operation Research and other 5 chapters for Quantitative Methods I and II.
Each chapter deals with the theory part in simple language and sufficient member of solved numerical for easy understanding by the students.
The `Question Bank` provided at the end of the 10 chapters gives large number of multiple choice questions, short answer questions and long answer type questions for helping students to prepare for the examination.
The book is also useful for corporate decision makers and students appearing for Chartered Accountant and Indian Cost and Works Accountants examinations.
