Indian Financial system has undergone a tremendous change in recent years. The entry of large number of private sector banks (both Indian and foreign) with advanced technology have created great element of competition which has paved the way for innovations in the banking sector. The new market oriented trend in the Indian Banking system has a multiplier effect on the economy.
