Encouraging trends towards the betterment of teaching learning process, growth in number of B-schools and acceptance of case method of instruction widely across business schools now, gives me pleasure in presenting this second edition. I also have a strong belief that quality of education depends upon the teaching pedagogy. If students of management are to become better decision makers and shoulder responsibility for their decisions, then there is no better pedagogy than “case method of instruction”.
My goal in writing this edition is to present updated aspects of case method of instruction. To reach this goal, new chapters: Introduction to Case Method, Principles Underlying Case Method, Perspectives to Doing Case Research, Critical thinking and Cooperative Learning and Difficult Teaching Situations and Case Method have been added in Part I: Case Method.
The development across the world has reduced distances and the world is becoming one due to technology, globalization and economic policies, hence, the faculty and the students need more than corporate or company cases for better grasp and understanding. Keeping in mind this fact, more types of cases have been included in Part II: Cases in Management.
Similarly maintaining, `One of its kinds` approach, I again present you with an intellectually rich yet thoroughly practical book “Case Method – Cases in Management”.
