NEP 2020 has been implemented for the First Year Engineering from the academic year 2024-25 in Mumbai University. New Chemistry Elective Courses have been introduced for the first time for First Year Engineering Students to update them with the current topics.
With an aim to cover all the topics included in the curriculum of the newly introduced elective subject “Environmental Chemistry and Non-Conventional Energy Sources” this Text Book titled “Environmental Chemistry and Non-Conventional Energy Sources” has been authored by a team of highly qualified and experienced, Faculty Members teaching in various Engineering Colleges across Mumbai. This book has been written for the benefit of students with all the information compiled in six modules. This book will serve as a standard Text Book for students of First Year Engineering of Mumbai University. It covers the entire syllabus of this newly introduced subject.
Apart from detailed explanation of all the topics mentioned in the syllabus of the subject, set of questions have been included at the end of each chapter. This would assist students to prepare for the exams.
