Farmers Vulnerability to Poverty, its Causes and Preventive Measures: An Annotated Bibliography

Dr. Daisy Das completed her Ph.D. in Economics from IIT-Guwahati in the year 2010. She has done her postdoctoral research from Sam Houston University, USA in 2014-15. Dr. Das has 20 years teaching experience at both undergraduate and graduate level. Her field of interest is development and environmental economics. She is instrumental in starting Ph.D. programme in Cotton University in the year 2017. Besides presenting and delivering in different national and international conferences, Dr. Das has also published a large number of research papers in different reputed journals. She has completed five research projects and produced two Ph.Ds. under her guidance and presently guiding six Ph.D. scholars and six undergraduate students. Dr. Das guest edited a research journal entitled "The Journal of Development Practice".

Dhritiraj Sarma is an alumnus of Cotton University, Guwahati who after his M.A. joined as a Research/Project Assistant on a major DST sponsored project on climate change. He has worked on several research papers and edited book chapters in the field of economics and higher education. He has presented a graduate thesis on "Economics of Climate Change and its Impact on Tea Industry in Assam" as his Masters thesis. He also worked in several organisations as an intern in the domain of economic research. His main areas of interest include field based studies on Agricultural and Environmental Economics, Health Economics, Growth and Development particularly in the context of North East India.
