The Present book entitled “Medicine in Everyday Life”.  The book is an introduction to provide information on commonly used medicines. It is an open elective (OE) paper for first year students. Its syllabus is prescribed by University of Mumbai as per NEP 2020. We wrote this book to assist undergraduate students those are not from a chemistry background.

This book covers the importance and history of medicines including some important pharmacological terms and routes of drugs administration. This book also emphasizes the difference between prescription and over-the-counter medicine and medicine used in daily life.

The book is recommended to commerce and arts students to prepare for open elective subjects. Many questions have been given for the student to practice.
