The present title “An Introduction to Genetics-I” has been written to present an integrated approach to Molecular Biology, encompassing information on the various cell organelles like Golgi complex, Mitochondria, Endoplasmic reticulum, Ribosomes, Lysosomes, Plasma membrane and Nucleus etc. The rationale for this approach is my belief that an accurate and comprehensive picture of current knowledge of the cell can be attained only by utilizing information from several disciplines. Information in nearly every area of Genetics is accumulated discovered that with each passing year entirely new types of cell structures and cell activities are described. There is a great feeling of excitement among biologists of the Genetics at present, for the prospects of future discovery remains very high.
The present volume is carefully designed for the undergraduate students of Bangalore University (Centre for applied Genetics). The subject matter has been presented in a step by step systematic manner. Easy understandable and clear illustrations, correct and latest informations are the main features of this title.
