Dr. (Mrs.) Padmavathi S. Rao, M.Sc., Ph.D. (Cytogenetics) working as Assistant Professor in Department of Botany at J.M. patel Postgraduated College, Bhandara. She has teaching experience of 21 years at UG and PG level with exclusive teaching of Environmental Science since last 7 years. She has been awarded junior Research Fellowships from Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi along with UGC-SAP during her career. She has published 16 research papers in various reputed national and international journals and presented papers in national conferences and seminars. She has received special training in plant tissue culture, molecular biology and biology and biotechnology. Her area of special interest is Cytogenetic, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology and Environmental Science. She is life member of Indian Journal of Cytology and Genetics and Journal of Advances in Plant Science.
