Biography
Dr. P.K. Bandgar
Dr. P.K. Bandgar has done his B.Com. and M.Com. from Pune University. He took his M.Phil. degree from University of Mumbai and Ph.D. degree from Saurashtra University, Rajkot, Gujrat. He is also a fellow-member of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India, Kolkata. Dr. Bandgar has got vast teaching and research experience. He has successfully guided 12 Ph.D. scholars and 20 M.Phil. Scholars. He has authored about 15 books for Banking and Insurance, B.M.S. and M.M.S. course, University of Mumbai. He has also published about 12 articles and research papers in various journals. Dr.Bandgar is a retired professor of SIWS NR Swamy College, Wadala, Mumbai-400 031. He is currently a visiting faculty of MMS course at PTVA`s Institute of Management, Vile Parle and IMCOST, Thane. He has recently joined as a Director, Oriental Institute of Management, Vashi, Navi Mumbai. Dr. Bandgar has worked as a Program Officer of National Services Scheme for 20 Years in the college, directing and implementing various social service programs. He had also started Book Bank Scheme in the college for economically backward class students. He had promoted Padmavati Co-operative Credit Society Limited, Bhandup, Mumbai, having turnover of Rs.4 crores. The Society has recently completed successful 25 years.
