Dr. Sunita Borkar is born in Khamgaon, Dist. Buldana, Maharashtra. After completing her school education in Kamptee, Dist. Nagpur, she obtained B.Sc. (Home-Science) degree from L.A.D. College for Women, Nagpur. She did her post-graduation, M. Phil. From Post-Graduate teaching Department, Nagpur University, Nagpur. She obtained her Ph. D. degree for her thesis entitled “Study of changing values and its effect on Home-Management Practices of working and Non-working Home-makers.    She obtained her B.Ed. and L.L.B. degree from Nagpur University. She has authored books “Aadhunik-Grihvya-vasthapan” and ‘Grihvyavasthapan’ for students of B.A. Part I and XI standard respectively, in Marathi. She is associated with Home-Science Association of India – Nagpur chapter and University Women’s Association, Nagpur. She is member of Board of studies in Family Resource Management & Faculty of Home-Science Nagpur University. She is also a member of Academic Council Nagpur University.     At present Dr. Sunita Borkar is working in L.A.D. & Smt. R.P. College for Women. Nagpur as a Reader and Head of Department of Family Resource Management. She is working as an Honorary Secretary – Women’s Education Society’s Hostel, Seminary Hills, Nagpur.
