We are pleased to place before the students and the teachers, College Chemistry – Volume III which covers the entire syllabus in Chemistry for the final year B.Sc. course prescribed by the Bangalore University.
In the previous edition, the study material was presented in two volumes. In the new edition a single volume covers the topics in all the four different branches of chemistry. Several significant changes have been made in the presentation of the subject matter in accordance with the suggestions received from various teachers. To a large extent, the printing errors have been rectified. From 2000, the pattern of the question paper for the university examination has been modified. We have included the University question papers from April 2000 to April 2001 for ready reference. We sincerely hope that the new edition will be well received by the students and the teachers. Suggestions for further improvement of the book are welcome.
