This book is written as per the revised syllabus of Mathematics for the third semester B.Sc course from the academic year 2014−15
The book is prepared to meet the requirements of the students who are going to study the third semester mathematics. The topics covered are group theory, Linear programming including Transportation problem, Sequences of real numbers, Series of real numbers, including Summation of Binomial, Exponential and Logarithmic Series and Differential Calculus. All the chapters are written in such a way that the readers can understand the concepts independently. The theory portions are explained in a simple way and plenty of worked problems are given at the end of each topic. Every chapter contains a large number of variety of graded problems in the form of exercise with answers.
Three model question papers approved by the University are also given at the end for the benefit of the student.
