Essentials of Safety Management

Dr. Anand Singh is a young scholar. He is Assistant Professor in the Institute of Management Sciences, University of Lucknow. He has more than a decade of teaching and research experience. He has been the UGC Research fellow and completed his Ph.D. from University of Lucknow. He has to his credit number of books: `Tourism in Ancient India`, `Pracheen Bhartiya Dharma`, published by Hindi Madhyam Kryanvayan Nideshalaya, University of Delhi and `Sarnath: Antiquity and Traditions` (under publication). He has been the receipt of prestigious, Dr.I.G.Khan National Award given by Indian History Congress in the year 2009. Dr.Singh has written more than two dozen research papers and articles in various national and international journals. He has been a panelist and special invitee to the International Conferences held at different countries including China and Thailand.

Dr. Harbans Lal Kaila, earned Masters degree in Psychology from Guru Nanak Dev University, Doctorate from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, is a retired Professor of Organizational Psychology with 39 years of professional experience, published books/articles and participated in national/international conferences. He pioneered BBS training in India, conducted <1000 BBS workshops in India/abroad and is a member expert panel for National Safety Council. He served the Central Labour Institute, Ministry of Labour for 10 years and as a Professor at the SNDT Womens University for 18 years at Mumbai. He is a resource person for organizations such as ITC, SAIL, GAIL, ESSAR, RIL, Colourtex, Everest, Galaxy, Reliance Energy, Ultratech, CFCL, Sandoz, Tata Motors, M&M, BPCL, ONGC, Suzlon, TUV, DNV, Bajaj Auto, Bayer CropScience, STL, Serum, SMC, NPC, GE, IOCL, BHEL, Oil India, Privi, HPCL, HCC, Kalpatru, Torrent, CTEA, Greentech, ICC, Pidilite, Aarti, Volkswagen, Jindal, Sterlite, Vedanta, L&T, RCF, DCM Shriram, Solaris, Agrocel, Piramal, Dorf Ketal, TRL Krosaki, Sembcorp, Uflex, Afcons, AM/NS, Hikal, Sunshield, Gunnebo, Amara-Raja, Hindalco, Ampacet Tata Projects, Toyota, NTPC, Vaaman, Baerlocher, Gharda, CPCL, Godrej, Hirschvogel, Asian Paints, Vasudha, Thyssenkrupp, and conducted more than 100 safety culture surveys for Indian locations. Dr. Kaila represented in Conferences at New York, Berlin, Japan, Kaula Lumpur, Muscat, Rome, New Zealand, London, Egypt, Dubai, Sydney. He is an Editor of the Journal of Psychosocial Research and Director of Forum of Behavioural Safety.

Prof. Dr. S. Ravishankar is a well-known senior HR and Organizational Behaviour specialist. He has worked at senior/top management levels, both in academic institutions and industry. He was senior faculty with College of Applied Science (MOHE), ICT, Oman; Professor at Abu Dhabi University; Al-Kharj University, Saudi Arabia; and Professor & Head of School of Business and Logistics, University of Bolton, UAE Campus. Earlier, he was Director and Professor at B-Schools and Professor at NITIE (Govt. of India), Mumbai. He has also rich experience as Dy. General Manager (HRD) at AFCONS Infrastructure Ltd., and ISPAT Industries Ltd., Maharashtra. He has large number of books and papers published to his credit. He has conducted large number of corporate training programs and is a member of many professional bodies like ISTD, ISTE, IIPA, BPC, etc. He was also honored with various academic awards including the ISTD Fellow for outstanding contributions in the field of HRD.

Shri S.V. Kamat is presently Senior Vice President of AFCONS Infrastructure Ltd., Mumbai, and has nearly three decades of professional experience. His areas of expertise and interest include Civil Engineering / Construction Management, H.R. & Personnel Administration. He takes keen interest in counseling and development of human resource, especially younger generation at work place. He has travelled widely and has rich experience of managing people in diverse socio-cultural work environments.
